Fun and free entertainment on the Meadows! 

  • PUNCH & JUDY SHOWS
    10.30am, 1pm and 3pm

  • ACRO-JUGGLERS GEORGIAN ACROBATS
    11am and 2pm
    Watch as these cheeky chappies add a dash of humour to their clever tricks. The duo are multi-skilled acrobats who give a rousing, interactive and high energy performance, so pop down and cheer them on in their antics.

  • HAT TRIMMING WORKSHOP
    At the Period Costume Shop
    11am onwards
    Guidance from Amy-Nicole on decorating your own hat or trim one purchased from her.
  • MEET THE HIGHWAYMAN
    11.30am
    Stamford, a jewel of the Great North Road offered rich pickings for the ‘Knights of the High Toby’, the foot pads, cut purses and highwaymen who relieve travellers of their valuables. Come and hear the tales of a ‘Gentleman Highwayman.’

  • WORM CHARMING 
    12 noon - 1pm
    Can Stamford beat the current world record of 567 worms ‘charmed’ from a 3m x 3m plot? Join the Rotary Club to try your luck. £5 per plot for teams of 2 adults/2 children. £10 per plot for larger teams who wish to swap during the contest.

  • ICE CREAM TALK AND DEMONSTRATION
    12.15pm
    Ever wondered where your favourite flavour came from? See and taste ice cream made using 18th century methods.
  • CHILDREN'S DRILL TRAINING
    1.15pm
    With Coldstream 1815 Foot Guards.
