Calling all parents ....

22 May 2017

With tickets already selling fast, the message for mums and dads is ... don’t miss out on the Stamford Georgian Festival fun come September 21-24.

It’s going to be an amazing family friendly weekend, with loads of free entertainment and child-friendly events.

And there is another message; make sure your child’s teacher knows about a brilliant Georgian Science Show for schools on the Friday afternoon (with a family show in the evening). Join Sir Isaac Newton and James Watt to see how their discoveries changed the world. It’s fast paced, interactive and ingenious.

Free entertainment on the Meadows over the weekend includes Galloping Acrobats, Punch and Judy shows, Children’s Drill Training, Meet the Highwayman and there’s even a talk and a tasting of ice cream!

Book your tickets now for horse drawn carriage rides, freaky ghost walks, ‘A Life in Chains’ slavery workshop, a mock trial and more!

As part of the Stamford Georgian Festival there will be an Illuminati evening with a Bull Run parade on Saturday 23 September.

To find out how your child’s school or community group can get involved email jo@stamfordartscentre.com

On Saturday 2 September a free family drop in workshop runs from 10am to 3pm at the Stamford Arts Centre. Bring the kids to decorate some fabulous giant structures for the parade.
