Local performers wanted!

25 July 2017

We're looking for up to 10 local performers (aged 16+) to take part in the street parade and celebrations for the Bull Run Illuminati Lighting Spectacular on the evening of Saturday 23 September.

You will get the chance to work with Kirsty Mead, the Artistic Director of Rhubarb Theatre, a Lincolnshire professional company who specialise in family and street theatre (and who are recently back from performing at the Glastonbury Festival!)

You will play the role of a Georgian character who will appear amongst the crowd on the night and tell your story to groups of people on the streets.

We’re looking for a range of people who have some performing experience, though not necessarily street theatre, and are confident, good team members.

We fully appreciate that not everyone will be able to make all of the dates or times below but we will be looking for people who can commit as much time as possible, including rehearsals in the festival build up.

  • Saturday 26 August, 10-4pm
  • Sunday 10 September, 10-4pm
  • Sunday 17 September, 2pm – 5pm
  • Monday 18 September, 6.30pm - 9pm
  • Friday 22 September, 7pm-9pm
  • Saturday 23 September, 2pm – 5pm and 6pm – 9pm

All rehearsals will take place at Stamford Arts Centre, costume will be provided and the whole project should be a lot of fun!
